Unfortunately, I have been unable to get Taffy fixed. It all comes down to a matter of money, I don’t have it. Being unemployed for 4 months took a serious financial toll, putting us far in arrears in rent, bills, insurance, while I looked for work and battled it out with my previous employer for UI, that I ended up taking him to court, which has been resolved for very little recompense which after 11 months I have yet to see. That mere pittance will all go to the landlord, instead of getting the car and cats fixed as well. SCATS was closed Monday, so after my Doctors appointment, I will be making the trip to take them there (if they want them). I am so tempted to keep chessie though, he is such a sweet boy, he gives sweet hugs and is napping in my lap as I enjoy my morning coffee. Often, he will mew softly, stretch his paws up my chest and look at me. How can I let him go? Geez I’m almost in tears here.Barbara’s nurse lost her cat of 17 years and had expressed an interest in Chester. I would keep him just in hopes he would get a forever home I know would be very loving and safe for him.I gotta stop now, I’m getting too verklempt here.New subject: Apple Genius is it an oxymoron?Talk amongst yourselves….
I’m going to the shelter this morning to put in some volunteer time. It’s bin six weeks. The overtime has bin nice to see on the pay checks, but I’ve missed my kitten time.
Adream4u – I totally understand having to set your priorities with what little funds you have. A lot of us have been there in some way or another. You mentioned SCATS – is that a shelter? Do they get animals fixed that are surrendered to them? Do they know of any TNR program you can call? sometimes vets will spay/neuter an animal for free if you tell them your circumstances. They are few and far between but it never hurts to ask. I once knew a vet who would take it out in trade – the person would commit to something like cleaning the cages or walking the dogs for a week or two. Again, it never hurts to ask. Everyone needs help at some point in their lives, including me. It was a long time ago and I am still grateful for what I got. It would be great if your nurse friend would take the kitten. Then all you have to do is keep mama inside until your finances take a turn for the better. I, personally, would like to help you. If you want to email me, the address is brbdutch@aol.com. Maybe this is my “pay it forward” time.
@Rikki Tavi…..your rehab kitty is a double for my Tyler!!!! Tyler is my Oliver’s litter mate brother. Wish I could get your pictures to work properly…they crawl, literally.
Rikkie Tavi – is that your kitty? What a great story! It reminds me of Bullet Kitty. She was found with 2 bullets in her from 2 different caliber guns. Susan got her to the vet and she had an amazing recovery with Susan. She decided to keep her and not put her up for adoption. Susan renamed her Annie but she will always be Bullet Kitty to me. She, too, is white. She looks like a snowball.

Just went for a 2nd look and the videos work properly. How impressive and wonderful to see the difference.
