Hi Graham Crackers. This message is mainly to @laughingkitty. I am so sorry you’re having to cope with your sister’s impending death. My mom had been in an assisted living home for 5 years. She had Lewy Body Dementia. It had been 3 years since she recognized my 3 sisters and I. She was taken to the hospital on Easter Sunday and admitted. One or all of us were with her 24/7. We didn’t leave her alone ever. They put her in hospice and received “comfort care.” She didn’t even look like our mommy, she had lost a lot of weight and they had cut her hair really short so we put a picture of her next to the bed so the nurses could see how cute she was. Anyway she passed away peacefully on April 27. My older sister was with her when she left. It had been gray and raining all day and at about 4:00 the sun broke through the clouds and shined into her room, she passed away at about 4:10. Then the clouds came back over and it began raining again. I would like to believe that an angel came to take her to heaven. We are heartbroken but we had quite a long time knowing this disease would kill her and we were at peace with it. My mom and my sisters are my best friends and I dread the day one of them will pass. I guess what I am trying to say is love your sister while you can and do everything you can for her, but take care of yourself too. I’m sorry the people you work for are such jerks. I had nothing but support and care from my boss and co-workers. Stand tall and be brave, and I hope you can find other employment where you are valued and cared for. Love and hugs to you Kitty.
