For your speakers, inboard or attached by wire, bluetooth etc.
Open the window in the lower left corner and go to the Settings icon, the one that looks like a gear, open that and then open the one labeled System – Display, sound, Notifications, Power. Left click and go down to the one marked Sound (speaker icon). Open Sound and at the top you will see Choose your output device Click the arrow on the right to see all the options and click the one that applies. Usually works to get your sound going again but sometimes not. If you are using external speakers at the time make sure the cable is plugged in and the speaks turned on for the comp to recognize them being connected.
