I don’t “Dial” my cell phone. It has no Dial. I push virtual buttons on its display or say the name of the person I want to talk to when I call someone.I don’t hang my phone up either. What ever did it do to deserve to be hung? I end the call when i’m done talking to the other person…I don’t know what planet you are from (and Yes, I’m old enough to have been around when “Dial” phones were handed out as rental property from “Ma Bell” and I even own a few now that we can buy our phones from anyone we want to)…

Probably connected through their cable TV. Cable modems don’t use phone lines.
