I have to admit that my pinewood car was about the only thing I built before age 12 that I was proud of. I even did the molten lead pour into the belly so we could drill the lead out until the car was at perfect balance and weight. The air flow I figured would take care of itself since the inset lead let me carve something more like today’s F1 series than NASCAR. It was painted a nice deep gold metallic with gloss.
