I think the investment would be a secure thing & if you paid into it with allowances every now & then you should see a tidy return on your investment, and your future would look quite lovely. By college you would have all the money you would need to have a pretty good time or not have such a large debt!
My son was left $10,000 on her death, which we put away for his college. It paid for room, board & food through his third year. He has no debt from college. We made certain of it!

$3,000 will get you a bone graft and an implant. The crown and abutment will be another $2,000.
