Here in NYS, school traditionally starts the Wednesday after Labor Day, though the kids in NYC get a break; they don’t go back until the following Monday.
We used to start the day after Labor Day and we got out for Summer break in very early June. Since the State still mandates 185 days of school, I assume that kids now get more breaks during the school year?
