    I used to have to clean the “oatmeal bucket” at the Doubletree restaurant we had here locally. Its now gone.I can tell you first hand that it really cements itself onto the surface in grand style. It had to be run through the dishwasher at least five times before it would even start to get clean again.

    I find that greasing the pan with a little butter helps prevent the porridge (what I believe you call oatmeal) from sticking…

    I just saw a mid-1970s sitcom episode (“Good Times”) that featured the “sticks to the ribs/sticks to the pot” routine.
