Satellites, the International Space Station, or Starlink regularly pass overhead. It’s fun to look up and watch them sailing across the sky. After astronomers expressed concerns, many of the strings of Starlink have been dimmed and may not be visible. There are numerous websites and apps for tracking satellites. For the ISS and Skylink I use:
I remember the rhyme from my childhood days:“Star light, star bright,First star I see tonight,I wish I may, I wish I might…Aw, shucks, it’s just a satellite.”
I remember when the first satellite, Sputnik, was launched. We as kids went out into the back yard with my Dad to look for it. I think we did indeed spot it traversing across the night sky.

And if you gaze long enough at a satellite, the satellite will gaze back into you.

This makes me think of the song Satellite by The Dave Matthews Band.

If that’s starlink, you can wish for a better internet. So far not so good.
