    Of course electricity works like that. It’s the key that doesn’t work like that. Franklin must have invented a key with really high capacitance. ;)

    Carl R: Actually, he used a Leyden jar (an early form of a capacitor)..Night-Gaunt49: A French writer said Franklin invented three things: bifocals, the lightning rod, and the hoax. He sort of left out the Franklin stove, the glass harmonium, and a few others. As for the kite experiment, a permanently incapacitated in France and one killed in Russia, but a Frenchman was first to prove the lightning rod worked.
