It’s not generally my thing to prop up rich actors, but for everybody bashing Tom Cruise on today’s board, you really should have a look at “Edge of Tomorrow” with Emily Blount, sometimes referred to as “Live. Die. Repeat.” Pretty damn good movie in my book. In fact, more than good enough to watch more than once, which is the first time I have said that in many a year.

The movie isn’t nearly as bad as some have said. Look at it as a dark comedy with horror and it works.

I hope the bad reviews on this movie don’t kill the plan to relaunch all the Universal monsters.

For my part, the star of Top Gun was the F-14. I can’t imagine how another movie will fare without those ‘actors’. F-18s don’t do it as much for me.

EVERY Tom Cruise movie is painful. He can’t act his way out of a paper bag…
