Genesis isn’t clear on how long Adam was in the Garden before God created Eve, and it sort of reads as though the serpent tempted them as soon as Eve was created.
However, it could have been millions of years, couldn’t it? God intended them to live forever. But they knew what Death was, and that it was to be avoided, because God told them to stay away from the Tree of Knowledge, or they would die (whether or not he was talking about a metaphorical “death in sin”). So they were in the Garden at least long enough to see animals die, because God didn’t explain what death was when he warned them.
So, just wondering: how long do you think they lived there before the Original Sin got them thrown out?
Here’s a question for all you Bible Scholars:
How long was Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden?
