Our daughter started going goth in high school in an attempt to get a reaction from us. When she found out we really didn’t care about that. We were happy that she wasn’t doing drugs and sneaking out at night (it was monitored). About 4 years later, she started going back to more mainstream because she realized 1) nobody cared 2) goth was a lot more maintenance 3) mainstream was more comfortable clothing

Huh. I was “goth” before “goth” was “goth”…no makeup, but I’ve worn dark for decades…

Actually, she was adopted and her parents were both Polar Bears…
