Reminds me of the old lady who wrote to NBC to say Johnny Carson saved her life one night. Usually, she wrote, she watched the monologue before going upstairs to bed. But this one night the monologue was horrible (much laughter from the audience), so she turned off the TV and went upstairs early. And just as she got to bed, some car drove right into her living room, through the TV, and into the couch where she had just been sitting. So if Carson had been on his game that night, she’d be dead.
