TSA can be pretty annoying. I remember when they first started checking shoes. I was going through security at the Ottawa International Airport when a US TSA agent asked me to remove my shoes. I was wearing flip flops!
You get “randomly selected” if you fit a profile. Which is profiling. They do it for a reason. Even though now some little old lady could be carrying (unlikely) she will usually get a pass.
When TSA is tested, they FAIL 95% of the time. Enjoy your flights. I quit flying in 1988. I came back from Phoenix and told my boss that I would go anywhere he wanted me to, even clear across the country, but he had better figure in driving time from that point on. I used to fly a few time a week. But, I’ve always been a nervous flyer. And, I just don’t like drinking that much! I never flew sober.

I’m the “lucky” one. I have had both knee replaced, and they go off every time! So, I get Rory’s Magic Wand treatment. Lucky me.
