Simpsonfan2 is right. You should really stop regurgitating this stupidity Lennie. I realize these are reruns, but you’re not exactly making a killing here (although you may kill people if you drive anything like we’re led to believe) and you’re putting people off.
Pretty soon, you will have to pull over to change stations on the damn radio. I don’t agree that cellphone use causes accidents. There are laws against distracted driving, and unless you are outside the lines, speeding, or running stop signs or red lights, I say, talk all you want.
In the last year or so we lost two young people in this city because they were either texting or talking on a cell phone. One a young lady 18 years old ran a Stop sign…something she will NEVER do again. She was talking to some one at the time. The other was a young man (age unknown) who drove under a semi truck trailer on a 45 MPH speed limit highway again… something he will NEVER do again. And still some people see nothing wrong with texting or talking on a cell phone while driving. Oh, it is against the law in Nebraska to talk or text while driving…but it’s a Secondary offense meaning the police can’t stop you JUST for doing one these, you have to be violating some other driving law before you can be stopped. There are enough distraction out there while driving without adding any more.

Agree with above – but today’s point IS valid, about the increasing surveillance.

Next on the list is driving solo, so passengers don’t distract the driver with conversation.

I’ll take my soapbox and go home…I am at home.
