Who reads newspapers anymore? LOL. And I say this as someone who worked for a big newspaper chain for decades (and retired early due to print’s demise). Besides, OUR newspaper never carried The Big Picture. That’s probably what killed them. LOL!
These days that is just common talk for the ‘the children’ you are trying to protect. And I’m sure most of them hear a lot worse at home and from their friends. And don’t even get started on the language of TV.
My local paper dropped Tim Rickard (“Brewster Rocket” on this site) as staff illustrator, as well as a bunch of good people and features. Then we dropped the paper, so we’re up $300/year.
I kind of like the sound of Rat’s Patootie. It has a certain ring to it. Or is that a zing that catches the recipient off guard, leaving them wondering what just happened.?
