If you read For Better Or For Worse, Lynn Johnston always spells stupid as “stoopid”. Since she is Canadian, I figured it was too mimic the Canadian accent. I love the way they say “house” (hoose). Lots of Canadian snowbirds here in Florida; I hear this a lot.
Big fan of accents. Can’t tell Mass. and Rhode Island apart. Chicago is my favorite. I have a fairly pronounced ( no pun intended) New York one (Queens).

There are some accents that are so pronounced, it is not hard to figure out where that person was reared. She even looks thepart of a California Girl.
