Ol’ Amy Winehouse didn’t have to go to rehab on my account. Apparently, she needed rehab on her own account. I was happy to sing along with the songs and ignore the increasingly bizarre photos that popped up in the media. My sister-in-law couldn’t name one of Winehouses songs, but knew all about her drunken/drugged antics. What’s that tell you about the media soup the woman existed in?
Ah, and I hereby publicly apologize to those who didn’t ‘get’ the cartoon. Do you think it was the organization of the layout that confused you, or was it the concept itself? He’p a brother out, here. I’ll try to be less oblique next time.
I figured the first 6 panels had to be about one of the kids, then I read Larry’s comment and took a 2nd look. Made sense to me. But then, I figured out the so called ‘surprise, twist ending’ for the movie “The Sixth Sense” half way through the movie. That doesnt mean I clue in on everything. I can be pretty clueless about a lot of things..I am a little clueless as to who David Letterman’s guest is in the 3rd panel.
@ Greg CravensAt 1st read I kinda missed it; But understood on 2nd read. I like a comic that makes me think a little! There were many times I would show friends a Far Side comic to get opinions on just what Gary Larson was trying to convey.
Okay, I get the first, third and fifth panels, because Larry actually saw them. (Well you know what I mean.) Nevermind, I’ll just back out of the door now! :-D
I like the poor faerie in the girls purse….RIP Amy Winehouse, and it’s so typical to see all these so called “celebs” going in and out of rehab that it’s part of contemporary tv viewing etc.It’s taken for granted, to bad that rehab didn’t stick with Amy, she’d gone quite a few times.The buckets are on my top ten!
