Grumble Gripe Mutter Mumble Are you looking for your glasses? Yes! And I bought four pairs just to keep this from happening! Maybe you should have bought a mirror. Why does everyone keep saying that?
I have met people like that at work. Such people have been sent to amuse.. Having had to wear glasses since getting the measles when I was seven, they are rarely misplaced.
The human brain, on average, can juggle 7 different things in it’s pre-motor cortex. After another thing is added, something drops out. In such situations, we find ourselves in the kitchen wondering what the heck the next thing we were going to do was, or we find ourselves backtracking our steps looking for our glasses. Know what the upshot is? Stopping to wonder and backtracking to search is knocking a couple of other things out of our brain list, and we’re really gonna be messed up in a few minutes. By then, hopefully it’ll be time for bed.
My wife actually did this too, except she only had on one pair of glasses and it wasn’t reading glasses. My eyesight is bad enough that I always have my glasses on so I don’t have to worry about doing this.

I don’t wear glasses, but I quite often look for my keys while holding them.

I might have to do a glasses-focusing-sun-on-Franks-head cartoon.
