LOL! With young kids everything needs a band-aid. But plain band-aids won’t do, they gotta have cartoon characters on them..I went to work with a ‘Dora the explorer’ band-aid on my hand the other day. It was that or ‘Hello Kitty’.
As far as a kid is concerned- band-aids are medicine. I had to have it explained to me as a kid that you couldn’t put one on the hair on your head to stop a head would bleeding. I asked, of course, how it was expected to HEAL without A BANDAID!!

wrap a nice soft, thick, warm something around the throat. Its not a bandaid, but it helps.
