Not a comment on this strip, but “The Buckets” as a whole. I wanted to get my daughter-in-law, a non-comic reader, a book of cartoons as a gift, and considered the very many strips I enjoy, to find what I thought was the best. (I got her husband, my son, a couple of Citizen Dog books.) I think The Buckets is the best drawn and written family strip around, but I’m going to have to get something else I guess. Scott Stantis got a book out of the strip after writing it for 5 years, and Greg has nothing to show for 12 years? I really think Greg’s stuff is better than Scott’s. I guess I’m going to have to go buy a Baby Blues (TONS of books) or an Adam@Home (several books), but don’t have the little kid teenager mix I would really prefer. ZITS is fantastic, but no small kids. I don’t know what the circulation is, I’m sure it’s good, but wouldn’t it be even better if fans could share it with might-become-fans? So I guess this is a complaint and a request. Please roll the presses.

That darn gravity. Always holding us back. Nevering letting us spread our wings and fly! .Time on the other hand….. I recall last year on Canada Day, at Canada Place….. the sidewalks, curbs and road in one area are all the same colour, made of the same materials. I pulled a Wilde E. Coyote and stepped off a curb thinkin I was on the sidewalk. …… It is truly amazing how much information, imagery and decisions occur as you plummet to the ground.
Eddie has had a very busy week: crying, screaming, throwing fits, running around the house trying out new sound effects and alien languages, and now, trying to defy gravity. I’ll bet the little guy is getting pretty tired. I’ll bet he is too stubborn to take a nap!
It’s probably just me, but as I read it I thought I could hear Eddie say “Quidditch! Quidditch!” and thought he was trying to take off without a broomstick. On second thought, though, I notice that I may not have been all that far off the mark ;)

The secret is to throw yourself at the ground, but miss.

I always wanted to fly away when I was little but I couldn’t because of the gravity.
This takes me back.
