They say the private sector is taking over space exploration. There's a career field I could go into! You want to be a private astronaut? Hack, no. I could open, like a spaceport, and charge 'em to land. And I'd sell T-shirts.
Doesn’t matter what business you’re in. Gotta have Tshirts. I should open a screen print business. Then, we could print Tshirts advertising our screen print business.
He has not thought it out. To open a spaceport, you need land in the right area. To get that land, you need money, lots of money. It is obvious that his family does not have that type of money. So he will need to earn the money. To earn that type of money, he will need some sort of education and a lot of hard work. To get the education, he will need to work at mastering his classes which requires a lot of studying and self-discipline. To have the self-discipline, he needs to start now on applying himself to study and not playing around.
Yes, and many a ‘49er made their fortunes panning for gold. I like folksy idyllic American history where common everyday people who work hard and with dedication end up with a large legacy they can settle back on during their golden years, instead of the everyday realities of ending up in debt, disabled, and dependent on their children if they didn’t die of gonorrhea, syphilis, heart attack, war injuries, water-borne diseases, liver/renal failure, a gunshot to the back of the head by the youngest son (yeah, I never understood why it wasn’t the oldest either), or a whole host of other hazards long before then, which is the vast majority of “folk” history I get reading diaries and papers from the 19th century.
