I feel ya, honey. I’ve been sick for a week, and my house looks like a garbage dump. But, the good thing is that I am grading myself…I get an A for lack of effort.
The summer before I started 5th grade, we moved from another continent to the USA. I had no immunity to the microbes here, so I caught everything. In spades. Missed a lot of school, sometimes for extended periods of time. I quickly learned that classes didn’t stop just because I wasn’t there, and that tests weren’t optional for only me. I hated feeling like I had no clue what was being covered in class. Add it all up, and it meant I still had to get – and do – the homework. Yep. Nerd burger.

Work doesn’t go away, one of the reason I rarely call in sick for my job

It actually is a bit unfair to still have to homework when you are ill.
