When our cats hunger, they eagerly seek food.

I’ve never had to call my cats at feeding time. They know when that is and just show up, usually yelling at me if I don’t move fast enough to suit them.

we have open feeding, but when i fill up the bowl one largest cat always seems to be there first. they all come running when it is treat time before bedtime. that’s a great time to do a cat count (make sure no one is locked up somewhere)

How can those darned felines rub my ankles and meow at feeding time, then snub the most expensive food? You have to peek around the corner to catch them eating.

My older cat Joey is nicknamed “The White Ninja” as he is pure white, and shows up silently any time the refrigerator door is opened and ham is taken out of its container. Somehow he knows the difference between bologna being taken out and ham being taken out. He is also particularly fond of bacon.

As a kid, I used to call the cat in from outside by shaking the box of dry stuff held out the back door. Within a minute, the cat would be on the kitchen windowsill, asking for the door to be opened. (They must train cats about window sills in cat school. They all seem to know that trick.)
