The “People’s Republic of Austin” is a “company town”, and the “company” is state government, so it runs far to the left of the rest of the state. Many liberals in Austin’s semiconductor industry came from “Silicon Valley” in California and brought their liberalism with them. Finally, Universities, and UT is a big one, are known hot beds of liberal lies.
Obama might be welcome in Austin and parts of the other biggest cities, but he would never be welcomed by the majority of the good citizens of Texas. We are polite, but we do not welcome those who are destroying the country.

Since the White House did not yet exist Washington took his vacation where he lived. The first presidential staycation. Lincoln took his vacation at a place called Soldier’s Home a few miles from the White House.
