Don’t try to make anything foolproof. Fools are so ingenious.

It’s been my experience that making anything “foolproof” just encourages Mother Nature to bring a better fool to the party. Kinda like “Hold my beer.”

I worked in software design (mainframes). We did our best to make the interface idiot proof. The idiots kept proving we couldn’t.

If you make it idiot proof, someone will just invent a better idiot.

As some wit once said: “You can’t make things foolproof. Fools are too ingenious.”
