I remember reading a bit in the Readers’ Digest where a woman took exception to her doctors calling her by her first name when they hardly knew her; so she started calling them by their first names. One protested, “Would you please call us ‘Doctor’? We worked real hard to get that Dr. in front of our names.” She replied, “And I worked just as hard to get that Mrs. in front of my name; you’ll please use it.” Can’t say I blame her.
