PP: What do you suppose made those guys such a classic comedy team?
GG: Thats easy...clever writing and sophisticated plots
GG: Plus, the endearing way Moe would jab his fingers into Larry and curls eyes never failed to surprise!
One of my earliest memories is awakening from a nap to hear my father laughing at the three stooges. And one of my happiest memories is remembering the deep belly laughs of my older son when first amused by the stooges. My late father-in-law used to recount a story of seeing the stooges at a live show for benefit of the army. Even if they lacked George Kaufman writing, they had Buster Keaton precision in performance. A part of Americana.

I know I’m risking my guy-card by saying this, but I’ve never cared much for the Three (or more) Stooges.

They were too much like people I knew and/or were related to.
