    Nice Meathead – nice tribute to Ms. Stapleton – who proved that not all women submitted themselves to the Hollywood Glamor Machine in order to become a successful actress.

    Take your time; If you do come up with a drawing of Jean Stapleton, feel free to post it, even if it is an “extra” K Chronicle. She was indeed much more than Edith (thank goodness for that!) Nonetheless, when the “Dingbat” made a stand, it was a stirring sight to behold.

    This brings to mind the sad loss in 2004 of Isabel Sanford, the talent behind Louise Jefferson. We’ve heard of “henpecked husbands;” Sanford was brilliant as ’Weezy, the “Roosterpecked Wife” in bringing a conscience to the storyline. Isabel and Jean have now both moved on up…
