We could also ask where HIS ancestors came from, and ask why HE doesn’t go back!But, but I’M an AMERICAN!

I would be anticipating the inevitable gnashing of teeth and wailing of the Trumpenproletariat were it not for the collateral damage. Crab-bucket politics at it’s worst.

As if white people could go back to Europe.

Europe doesn’t want people from the usa to live in Europe.

Doesn’t matter if Europe wants them, just have all the white folk stay as ‘undocumented’.

I remember a great “Pearls Before Swine” strip from a long time ago where Rat was deporting several people. He sent off a Greek guy, an Italian guy, and a French guy before coming to a Sioux Indian and suddenly realizing he wasn’t on the list… but the Norway Rat was.

There’s a classic story of a man who heard the woman behind him speaking rapid non-English into her phone, and when she finished angrily turned and shouted, “This is America! If you want talk Mexican, go back to Mexico!” The woman replied, “Sir, I was speaking Navajo. If you want to tlk English, go back to England.”

I’ve heard variations on that, usually involving the Ugly American asking someone to speak English when he’s over seas.

Go back where I came from ? You mean my Mothers womb ?
