Aw, c’mon. Cheesesteaks are awesome. (Especially for causing heart attacks.)

Cheeeeeeeesesteaaaaaaaks! I’m in Philly Frickin’ heaven! If she don’t want it, I’ll take it!!!!!

Any Queen ruling over the two nations responsible for the invention of eel pies, kippered herring, and haggis (GAWD!!) should NOT boggle at a Philly Cheesesteak.

Hmmmm. Cheesesteak. Scrapple (the good kind–no ears or snouts). Pepper-pot soup (just don’t ask what the chewy bits are). Pretzels with mustard from a street vendor (the soft oblong pretzels, not those crusty round New York things). Tasty-Kakes and Tasty-Pies (lemon’s the best but skip the annual pumpkin). (And forget Breyer’s ice cream since they were taken over, moved out of state, cut the half-gallon size, and started adding goop to their once-pure recipes).

Yes, I am a PHILLY-BOY!!! A great town I’d have been happy to move to even if I hadn’t been born here. (Well, born there, anyway. I haven’t lived in the city limits in about 30 years.)

pschearer: Well,I’m from PITTSBURGH, HOME OF THE STANLEY CUP PENGUINS- N’at. You can have your Cheesesteak, just put the fries & cole slaw on top between 2 slices of Italian bread wrapped in white butcher paper. That’s right, I’m talkin’ PERMANTI’S Baby!

Hey Queen Vic…….considering the English type of cuisine, you can’t dis our cheesesteaks! Cheerio!

Of course she’s scared of a cheesesteak. It has green vegetables that haven’t been cooked into a grayish pulp.

AND, it has flavor!
