everyone’s visions of Heaven are as individual as they are. but, an endless library filled with books is certainly close to the top of MY list. along with lots of beer, and my favourite teams being competetive for championships.
In case you’re looking for a good summer read I recommend “The Selected Works of T.S. Spivet”. It is full of intelligence, thought and some very nice art. Don’t mistake it for a childrens book, just because the protagonist is 12, it’s not.Reif Larson is the author. Check it out.

PS I’ve only managed to read three of Her Maj’s five. I think the first one could be something from Melville, perhaps “Moby Dick”?
If it ‘s Melville it’s more likely “Billy Bud” (naval uniforms vs. seamen’s garb) Alice and Gulliver certainly. Panel four looks like Oliver Twist asking for more. Panel three, drawn by Crukshank? But who is the author?

A good book isn´t the worst place to be lost in.

Right on, Queen Vic! Why didn’t you knight Mr. Dickens, though?

So the second illustration is Alice in Wonderland and the fourth (I think) is David Copperfield - others? (OK, I’m lame, I realize. ;) )

I’m pretty sure one is Hunchback of Notre Dame. I’m not sure of the rest.
And yes, your Majesty, a good book is a good place to be lost!

When I started working in the library, I was always afraid I’d get fired for reading more books than I actually shelved.
The last one appears to be Gulliver’s Travels, the part of the book where Gulliver meets the Lilliputians.

HI Steverino! That great line is from the great Groucho Marx.
Lovely strip today, Pab. I’m glad HRH can find plenty of wonderful books appropriate to her taste.

I would love to trade places with HRH in the top panel. Looks like a lovely place to spend eternity

I think Dickens refused to be knighted.
