They had instrumental versions of Bizet’s opera Carmen with them on the island. They used them to do a musical version of Hamlet, hoping a producer (Phil Silvers, I think) looking for a hit will rescue them. He doesn’t. He steals their ideal and leaves them there.
My recollection is they had a number of records with them that were used in various episodes. Not sure why they were brought along on a three-hour tour, how they survived the shipwreck or how they played them, but there you are.
I’m sure that any records they brought along with them would multiply and diversify, just like their clothing did on that island. Think about it. Not even Mrs. Howell would pack all that fine stuff for a three-hour tour.

I think the first one would be “The Mosquitoes’ Greatest Hits”; Irving really knew how to bang those drums.

My Desert Island Discs pick would be “The How-To-Build-A-Raft-And-A-GPS-From-Coconuts-And-Bamboo Mambo”.
Come on, let’s be PRACTICAL, people!
