I always try to be friendly, especially to those who work in food or retail services. I see them getting lots of crap from other customers, so I try to be the anti-crap-customer.
Be gregarious, it costs you nothing and may make someone’s day a little easier.
“I like your blouse” would get you in trouble these days for sexual harassment.
