Of course, when you register for Facebook, you really don’t have to put very much personal info about yourself in. What goes out is info you put there in the first place. If you look at my Facebook account, you’ll see my name and not much else, but I can look at many of my friends’ info and find where they live, their cell phone numbers, their birthdates, all sorts of info which, taken in the aggregate, makes your privacy into a unicorn, that is, an imaginary beast.

Facebook privacy is an oxymoron. Most of the social networking sites are notorious for having very poor data protection.
