During a visit to a construction site, I see two bricklayers, working side by side, placing brick on top of brick.
I ask the first bricklayer, “What are you doing?”. He turns his head, and with a look of disdain he says, “I am laying bricks.”
I ask the second bricklayer the same question. He looks up with a smile, and I see a glint in his eye as he says, “I am building a cathedral!”
Sometimes knowing the greater reason makes a difference.
