Where I live we have a flock of parrots that are the offspring of escaped pets. They are very noisy and fun to watch.

If you get a Norwegian Blue, just be careful which shop you go to, and make sure the feet aren’t nailed to the perch.

PRECIOUS!

My Cockatiel is free to fly around the home. He will sit on my shoulder when I am outside. I am sad when I hear a canary sing. It is a call of loneliness and longing to have a companion.

Never expected this. Budgie will now fly with all the others and will never again be caged.

Oh my God, this is just too sad. We had canaries when I was a kid, oh, how I hope there is a Rainbow Bridge!!!

I really couldn’t agree with you more regarding the caged birds, zoos and circuses. I always think the animals are so sad. I over indulge my dog too w/expensive food! Hope no one flames you, nothing wrong with being an animal lover :)

Not sure if you will see this, but glad to hear no flames so far. I have also seem some very harsh words on here. People are odd. I much prefer the company of my dog!!
