Fact: you can get cellphone reception most of the way up Mt. Kilimanjaro.
You can get cell phone reception at the top of Mt. Evans in Colorado, too.
As for Kilimanjaro, it’s not surprising since the mountain is completely surrounded by civilization, within 8 miles of the peak. Check out Google maps in satellite view.
