My house overlooks a lake here in northern Maine. This Spring I watched as an Eagle forced a young Osprey to drop a fish it had caught. When the Osprey dropped its catch, the Eagle snatched it out of the air within just a few feet and headed for its nest. Size matters.

The eagles near Decorah, Iowa, have wisely set up nesting near a fish hatchery. :-)
