Yeah like those old auto repair shows where the mechanics wore white overalls without a speck of grease and their hands were as clean as a whistle

The only way to have a spotless kitchen is a really good restaurant!

Totally our kitchen! Wife cooks, pans and bowls everywhere, and I clean up. No complaints though… I love her cooking. 40 years last Sunday!

I always think this when watching cooking shows. They do that whole mise en place thing where they put each spice and herb in it’s own bowl, they grab salt out of a bowl with hands that were just holding raw meat. I can’t help but feel bad for the people that have to clean up after them.

I want one of the “Magic Double-Decker Ovens” you see on some cooking shows… put a Rack of Lamb or a Roast in the top oven, shut the door, open the BOTTOM door of the oven, and it’s DONE TO PERFECTION!!!!

Lose the first ‘at’ in second panel. A plus for symmetry too…

I knew a cameraman who worked on one of those TV cooking shows. I asked him if the crew got to eat the food after the filming was over. His reply was that they used so much gunk (e.g. hair spray to make roast chicken look shiny) on the food it was inedible.

Well, I clean as I go, so at the end of the meal there are only plates and silverware to wash. But who wants to watch a TV chef wash the dishes?

I growl at the cooking shows. “Yeah, YOU don’t have to clean all those gadgets you’re using, do you!!!!!!!!!” :)

You only see the whole process by watching cooking done on Youtube. At least, the vids I have watched.
