My old dog loves going to the Vet. He’s a big friendly Newfoundland, they know him by name and they shower him with attention. He can’t get enough of it.
My dogs have always loved the vet. I always was happy upbeat and gave them lots of treats. “Oh boy we’re going to the vet! This is so much fun!” Though my latest is not food motivated she can be swayed with happy happy happy. I just wish the vet techs would lay off the sympathy stuff, it sort of un-does her confidence and just makes the dogs feel sorry for themselves.
