Shaking off the water inside helps keep the outside dryer. I thought my dogs to shake their body. After I take their rain gear off (all long hair dogs) we head inside and they line up for the towel. Yip yip yip yip yip
Interesting fact I learned from my carpet cleaners. Water from a pool looks like urine under a black light. So, since my dog shakes inside, the house would light up under a black light! Hard for a dog (male or female) to pee as high as eight feet. LOL

When our dog at the time went outside. If it was raining mom would be at the door with a towel.

We had a dog that would stand in the rain trying to shake off the water.

We train all our dogs to “shake” with the shower curtain closed after baths. Just make sure to give them firm footing on the shower floor.

To really make your human scream, also walk through a mud puddle, before you come into the house!
