JOHN ROCKER'S RACIAL SENSITIVITY CAMP John: Hi! I'm John Rocker, relief pitcher and expert on race relations. If there's one thing I learned from my ordeal in which a few careless and misinterpreted remarks branded me a "racist," it's that training in proper technique is the key to avoiding such pitfalls. The Situation: Guy 4: I'm offended by that "Cleveland Indians" logo! 1 Use Reason Guy 3: The aesthetic appeal this holds for me outweighs any feelings of bitterness over genocide it might raise for you. 2 Defuse with Humor Guy 3: Besides, you don't see Scandinavians complaining about the "Minnesota Vikings"! John: It that doesn't work, apologize, get counseling, and start again!
