Sorry, nope, I’m still me. No matter what day it is, I’m me; no matter who the president is, I’m still me; it doesn’t matter what Paris Hilton or Brittany Spears does or what pop-culture dictates, I’ll be me; if all the governments of all the countries in the world are dissolved, I’ll be me; if the world ecomony colapses and we all end up living in caves and eating tree bark (dibs on the apple), I’ll still be me. And that’s because I’m the one who controls who I am, all that other stuff is out of my control and temporary (even - gasp! - who the president is). And I’m ok with that.

Even the crazy media couldn’t keep the reality of America and Americans down. I laugh in the faces of all the media that said the election was going to be close. Can you spell “landslide”?

Well, I’m still me… but I think we (as a nation) are finally realizing that even ‘tho I am me (and that will never change) I am not the only person in the whole, wide world and if we’re going to be successful as a nation we may have to learn to get along……..

‘I am me’ is true, yet ‘what I am’ is completely dependent on the environment.

Thanks for the concer, JPuzzleWhiz, but it’s good to be me. I just don’t like the suggestion that my perception of myself or of the world is going to change because there’s a new president. That’s way too much to expect from one guy.
