Is Wayne behind all of the White House policies? The Rump is busy dismantling all those ‘pesky’ regulations.

Before the 1960s, people didn’t want seatbelts in cars. They thought that the presence of a seatbelt was a sign that the car was unsafe.

One cannot sufficiently exaggerate the folly of humans, to the point where they recognize it as folly.

The sad reality is is that the Anti-gun rights jihadists DO want to take away the guns. That has ALWAYS been their goal.

It’s the Libertarian wing of the GOP, which uses fears of the “Nanny State” (they want to put guard rails in Wreck Canyon, and spoil the view from Dead Man’s Curve!!!) in ways that conveniently undercut those dastardly regulations about dumping poison in the water, air, and ground, or which might slow down manufacturing (stupid OSHA rules!) or otherwise make companies pay for such externalities as the lives of others. Time to return to the 1890s, where the only thing a company owed its dead workers was a cheap funeral, and if their machine took your fingers or leg off, you might get a one-time $5 gratuity for the inconvenience. (And you’d better be back on the job next week, or your family starves.)

Thank goodness President Trump agrees to confiscate first and due process later. Unlike that spineless Obama who allowed this proliferation of assault weapons to begin with.

This would be truly funny if it were not the prevailing mindset of the Trumpists. They see government intervention and deep state conspiracy in everything – especially any laws enacted previously – particularly the ones of the previous administration – that might work for the common good and the protection of the public.

Thought experiment: how many of the laws and regs put in place by the previous administration would Trump be against if Obama had happened to be white? (How many people would’ve been against the Affordable Care Act, based almost completely on Romneycare, would’ve been against it if Romney had won the election?)

One slippery-slope the NRA forgot to use was “If the NRA backs a temporary ban on assault weapons [spoiler alert: They did!], that temporary ban will be made permanent [It wasn’t.] AND they’ll take all of our other weapons and silverware and toothpicks away from us!”

I have to disagree with every one here. Sorry, we usually see eye to eye. I read an article about what happened when the UK took away citizens guns. They haven’t been known to be violent people even though they had access to guns, however, when they banned guns their crime rate went up dramatically up to surpass that of NYC! When only criminals And the Government have guns, look at what might and probably Will happen. This has to do with our civic duty to, well, when a government administration is evil, and all that.

None of those things had people who genuinely wanted to make them illegal. None are guaranteed rights in the Constitution. Guns are both.
