Mourning their loss of status as the US deputy sheriff in the SE Asia? Tch.
(although I wonder how many folks will realise what country is being satirised in the ‘toon’s map? Although this video segment was unfairly aimed at one nation in particular, this cartoon reminded me of a Chaser’s prank video:

Edit: Ha! I love the crossed out label! My wife will laugh, she’s from the European country often confused with it.
@ SrBW: Agreed, these type of gotcha videos will not show those who knew and walked away which is why I said it was unfair. Providing a true percentage would make it fairer and/or doing same closer to home. Still made me laugh.
@ Pavlov: The UK realpolitik world map as viewed by the UK’s current government has also changed, resources were focused more onto China & India - in fact, Cameron is visiting China at the moment - causing some local concern that the Atlantic “special relationship” was being put at risk. There was no special relationship, of course, so on that score I agree with the realignment.
Your president is simply being pragmatic when it comes to realpolitik.
@ Seniorbullwinkle - I find it interesting that you charge Josefw with not being open minded while also charging Glenn Beck as a brainless lier. This while contending that Stephen Miller is the ‘speaker of truth.’
You have, by your own admission, closed your mind. You have proven yourself guilty of the very charge you laid on another.
Try and remove the plank from your own eye before codeming someone else for theirs. There is a joke about two blind men walking into a bar…
Iraq is also in Asia, but how many Americans are aware of that? Funny thing about everything east and southish of Istanbul. Ask Americans to name five countries in Africa- okay, Palin knew one- “Africa”.
Looks like an accurate map to me. You’ve got 5 economic powerhouses, at least 3 sources of global instability, and one whiny guy in the corner complaining about his whales.

The only time I ever hear and see Beck is on The Daily Show or Colbert Report.
Uncle Jay Explains The News, The Borowitz Report, The Onion, and Cracked dot com have much more truth than Fox News, you just have to sort it out.
