In the first frame, looks like Seagull is watching Sterling.

I’m loving the two pointers on that double-tailed speech balloon delivering to us Wallace’s positively poetic/barbaric YAWP! Yeah, I poetic and barbaric. The reference is straight out of Walt Whitman. And so is YAWP! What a wonderful comic strip this is.

Fun Fact: Mermaids, of which Mrs. Maclellan is one, are hydrodynamically shaped—great for swimming, not so great for surfing.
