Since she only has one shot, no use wasting it.

gimme a break, three shots within let´s say 15-20 seconds?

Even if their persuer had two guns, it takes quite some time to reload one of these and who would carry three or more?

They are neither small nor light.

A bit more attention to realism and historical accuracy would be welcome.

Oh and the “Napoleon of Crime” and “King of Thieves” in our world was Adam Worth. It was surmised that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle based his character Moriarty on him.

This guy’s enjoying this way too much! Doesn’t get out much, I guess …

And I may have been a history major in college, but I’m completely with you, Ms. Ashwin. Who knows what exactly went down in every moment of every past year, anyway? Historical accuracy is largely a myth. I’m all about the tone, and I’m loving this!!

@Kate Ashwin, love your strip so far. I agree accuracy can just go to the devil. It is the story that counts the most. My favorite book series is called “The Ring of Fire” series by Eric Flint. I also enjoy a good “Steampunk” story. Keep up the interesting work.

It’s a “what if” world, not a “what is”. Just suspend all disbelief and analytics and enjoy!
