A rock group with a saxophone and a banjo? I don’t think I’ve ever heard those two instruments played together in the same song, least of all a rock song.
This can be interpreted two ways: (1) the stereotypical attitude from the older generation (which included Parker and Hart), that rock music was “just noise,” which was still very prevalent in the mainstream media as late as 1972; or (2) that earplugs are recommended as standard hearing protection (in spite of their instruments being acoustic and without electricity to amplify them?)

I saw The Who Monday. I could’ve used a pair. Not because of the band, because of the crowd. (Actually, I call then The Who’s Left.)
